BARFORD, a parish in the hundred of FOREHOE,
county of NORFOLK, 4f miles (N.) from Wymondham,
containing 387 inhabitants. The living is .a discharged
rectory in medieties, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk,
and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£4. 8. 4., endowed with £200 private benefaction, and
£200 royal bounty, and respectively in the patronage of
the Rev. H. Franklin and the Dean and -Chapter of Norwich.
The church is dedicated to St. Botolph.
