BASINGTHORPE, a parish in the wapentake of
BELTISLOE, parts of KESTEYEN, county of LINCOLN,
3 miles (N. W.) from Corby, containing, with Westby,
115 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's
books at A3. 17. 6. Sir W. Manners was patron in
1819. The church is dedicated to St. Thomas a Becket.
