Sherborne division of the county of DORSET, 10
miles (S. by W.) from Sherborne, containing 177 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged rectory, united in
1772 to that of Frome-Vauchurch, in the archdeaconry
of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's
books at £9- 9. 9£. The church is dedicated to St.
Mary.
