BELCHAMP (OTTON), a parish in the hundred of HINCKFORD, county of ESSEX, 5 miles (N. by E.) from Castle -Hedingh'am, containing 352 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Middlesex, and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at £ 12, and in the patronage of the Rev. John Cox. The church is dedicated to St. Ethclbert and All Saints. Albright's chapel, formerly in this parish, has been long since demolished.
