BENTLEY, a parish in the hundred of SAMFORD,
county of SUFFOLK, 6J miles (S.W.) from Ipswich,
containing 366 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of
Norwich, rated in the king's books at £6. 2. 11., and
in the patronage of W. Deane, Esq. The church is
dedicated to St. Mary.
