BESTHORPE, a parish in the hundred of SHROPHAM,
county of NORFOLK, \\ mile (E. by S.) from
Attleburgh, containing 519 inhabitants. The living is
a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk,
and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£5. 6. 10., and in the patronage of the Earl of Winterton.
The church is dedicated to All Saints.
