BILBOROUGH, a parish in the southern division of the wapentake of BROXTOW, county of NOTTINGHAM, 4 miles (W. N. W.) from Nottingham, containing 291 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Nottingham, and diocese of York, rated in the king's books at £3. 12. 6., and in the pa* tronage of T. Webb Edge, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Martin. Here are some coal-works. The hamlet of Broxtow, in this parish, was anciently a place of considerable importance, having given name to the wapentake.
