BIRDINBURY, a parish in the Southam division of the hundred of KNIGHTLOW, county of WARWICK, 4 miles (N. byE.) from Southam, containing 213 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Coventry, and diocese of Lichfield and Coventry, rated in the king's books at £7- 10., endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of Sir T. Biddulph, Bart. The church is dedicated to St. Leonard.
