BISCATHORPE, a parish in the eastern division
of the wapentake of WRAGGOE, parts of LINDSEY,
county of LINCOLN, 8 miles (N.B. by E.) from Wragby,
containing 37 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln,
rated in the king's books at £5.18. 4., endowed with
£200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Crown.
The church is dedicated to St. Helen.
