BISHOP'S-BOURNE, a parish in the hundred of KINGHAMFORD, lathe of ST-AUGUSTINE, county of KENT, 4 miles (S.E. byS.) from Canterbury, containing 325 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with the perpetual curacy of Barbam annexed, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Canterbury, rated in the king's books at £39. 19. 2., and in the alternate, patronage of the Crown and the Archbishop of Canterbury. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
