BLABY, a parish in the hundred of GUTHLAXTON, county of LEICESTER, 4 miles (S. by W.) from Leicesr ter, containing, with the chapelry of Countess-Thorpe, 1730 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Leicester, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £15.5., and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There are places of worship for Baptists and Wesleyan Methodists. The Union canal passes through the parish.
