BOLTERSTONE, a chapelry in the parish of
ECCLESFIELD, northern division of the wapentake of
STRAFFORTH-and-TICKHILL, West riding of the county
of YORK, 9 miles (N.W. by N.) from Sheffield. The
population is returned with the parish. The living is
a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese
of York, endowed with £200 royal bounty, and £200
parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of J. Remington,
Esq.
