BOSCOMBE, a parish in the hundred of AMESBURY, county of WILTS, 3 miles (S. B. by E.) from Amesbury, containing 128 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at £13. 17. 1., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Salisbury. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. Four almshouses, for two widows and two widowers, are endowed with a rent-charge of £24.
