BOULTON, a chapelry in that part of the parish of ST-PETER-DERBY, which is in the hundred of MORLESTON-and-LITCHURCH, county of DERBY, 3 miles (S. E. by E.) from Derby, containing 168 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, with that of Alvaston annexed, in the archdeaconry of Derby, and diocese of Lichfield and Coventry, endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £600 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the proprietors of land in the chapelry.
