BRAMSHAW, a parish partly in the hundred of CAWD'EN and CADWORTH, county of WILTS, but chiefly in the northern division of the hundred of NEW-FOREST, New Forest (East) division of the county of SOUTHAMPTON, 6 miles (N. N. W.) from Lyndhurst, containing 726 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the peculiar jurisdiction and patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Salisbury, endowed with £200 private benefaction, £200 royal bounty, and £1200 parliamentary grant. The church is dedicated to St. Peter.
