BROADWAY, a parish in the hundred of CULLIFORD-
TREE, Dorchester division of the county of
DORSET, 3 miles (N. by W.) from Melcombe-Regis, containing
282 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with
that of Bincombe annexed, in the archdeaconry of Dorset,
and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books
at £7. 15. 2., and in the patronage of the Master
and Fellows of Caius College, Cambridge. The church
is dedicated to St. Nicholas.
