BUBBENHALL, a parish in the Kenilworth division of the hundred of KNIGHTLOW, county of WARWICK, 6 miles (S.S.E.) from Coventry, containing 247 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Bishop of Lichfield and Coventry, endowed- with £200 private benefaction, and £400 royal bounty, and in the .patronage of the Prebendary of Bub-: henhall in the ' Cathedral Church of .Lichfield. The church is dedicated to St. Giles. Eight poor children are taught to read, from, an endowment of £ 5 a year, being the interest of £ 100 given by Mrs. Hannah Murcott, in 1775.
