BUCKLAND, a parish in the hundred of FAVERSHAM,
lathe of SCRAY, county of KENT, 3 miles (N. W.
by W.) from Faversbam, containing 22 inhabitants. The
living is a discharged rectory, in the 'archdeaconry and
diocese of Canterbury, rated in the king's books at
£5. 6. 8., and in the patronage of Charles Eve, Esq.
The church, which was dedicated -to St. Nicholas, has
long been in ruins.
