BUCKLAND, a parish in the first division of the hundred of REIGATE, county of SURREY, 2 miles (W.) from Reigate, containing 292 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Surrey, and diocese of Winchester, rated in the king's books at £ 11.12.11., and in the patronage of the Warden aud Fellows of All Souls' College, Oxford. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. The river Mole forms the southern boundary of the parish.
