BULWICK, a parish in the hundred of CORBY, county of NORTHAMPTON, 6 miles (E. N. E.) from Rockingham, containing 471 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £18. 7. 1., and in the patronage of Thomas.Tryon, Esq. The church, dedicated to St. Nicholas, is partly in the decorated, and partly in the later, style of English architecture, with a finely proportioned tower and spire; it contains three stone stalls and some screen-work, and has lately been re-pewed.
