BURNHAM-OVERY, a parish in the hundred of BROTHERCROSS, county of NORFOLK, 1 mile (N. E.) from Burnham-Westgate, containing 508 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £ 8, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Clement. This parish, together with others bearing the name of Burnham, is situated in the northern part of the county, adjoining the North sea: a considerable quantity of grain is sent from a small port here, and a few of the inhabitants are engaged in the fishery.
