BURSTON, a parish in the hundred of Diss, county of NORFOLK, 2 miles (N. E. by N.) from Diss, containing 405 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £ 16, and in the patronage of the' Crown. The church, dedicated to St. Mary, has a tower circular at the base and octangular above.
