BURTON-HASTINGS, a parish in the Kirby division
of the hundred of KNIGHTLOW, county of WARWICK,
4 miles (E.S.E.) from Nuneaton, containing 241
inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the
archdeaconry of Coventry, and diocese of Lichfield and
Coventry, endowed with £ 600 royal bounty, and in the
patronage of G. Greenway, Esq. The church is dedicated
to St.Botolph. The Ashby de la Zouch canal
passes through this parish, which is also intersected by
the Roman Watling-street.
