BURWARTON, a parish in the hundred of STOTTESDEN,
county of SALOP, 9 miles (N. E.) from Ludlow,
containing 123 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and diocese of
Hereford, rated in the king's books at £4. 6. 8., and in
the patronage of B. Holland, Esq. The church is dedicated
to St. Lawrence.
