CARLETON, a parish in the hundred of LODDON,
county of NORFOLK, 8 miles (S.E. by E.) from Norwich,
containing 79 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese
of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £9, and in
the patronage of Sir Charles Rich, Bart. The church
is dedicated to St. Peter.
