CAVENHAM, a parish in the hundred of LACKFORD,
county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles (S.E.) fromMildenhall,
containing 261 inhabitants. The living is a disr
charged vicarage, hi the archdeaconry of Sudbury, and
diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £ 5.5.10.,
endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200 royal
bounty, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church
is dedicated to St. Andrew. The river Lark is navigable
