CAWTHORPE (LITTLE), a parish in the Marsh division of the hundred of CALCEWORTH, locally in that of Louth-Eske, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 3 miles (S. E. by S.) from Louth, containing 130 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £3. 4. 4., and endowed with £600 royal bounty; it is sequestrated. The church is dedicated to St. Helen.
