of the hundred of PETHERTON, county of SOMERSET,
3 miles (S. by W.) from Ilminster, containing 225 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry
of Taunton, and diocese of Bath and Wells,
rated in the king's books at £9. 10. 2., and in the patronage
of Earl Poulett. The church is dedicated to St.
Michael.
