CHAPEL-POINT, or PORT-EAST, a sea-port and
chapelry in the parish of GORRAN, eastern division of
the hundred of POWDER, county of CORNWALL, 7
miles (E. by S.) from Tregony. The population is ret
turned with the parish. The chapel is in ruins. A
great quantity of pilchards is taken and cured; some
coal is also imported.
