CHILTHORNE-DOMER, a parish in the hundred of STONE, county of SOMERSET, 2 miles (S.) from Ilchester, containing 234 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese of Bath and Wells, rated in the king's books at £5. 7. 1., and in the patronage of the Rev. John Bayly. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. In 1755, Christopher Brown gave a rent-charge of £2. 16., for teaching six children of the parish.
