CHORLTON, a township in the parish of MALPAS, higher division of the hundred of BROXTON, county palatine of CHESTER, 2 miles (W. by N.) from Malpas, containing 124 inhabitants. A quantity of Roman coins, of the reigns of the emperors Valerian and Posthumus, was t dug up, in March 1818, by some workmen, in a field in this township.
