CLEETHORPE, a township in the parish of CLEE,
wapentake of BRADLEY-HAVERSTOE, parts of LINDSEY,
county of LINCOLN, 3 miles (E. S. E.) from Great
Grimsby, containing 154 inhabitants. There is a place
of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. Here is a fishing
hamlet, situated at the mouth of the Humber, which
in summer is much resorted to for sea-bathing.
