CORNARD (GREAT), a parish in the hundred of BABERGH, county of SUFFOLK, lj mile (S. E.) from Sudbury, containing 656 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Sudbury, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £9, and in the patronage of J. G. Sparrow, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. The navigable river Stour passes on the west of this parish.
