CORTON-HACKET, a parish in the upper division
of the hundred of HALFSHIRE, county of WORCESTER,
5 miles (N. E.) from Bromsgrove, containing 187 inhabitants.
The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to
the rectory of Northfield, in the archdeaconry and
diocese of Worcester. The church, dedicated to St.
Michael, is a small curious edifice, with a bell gable,
having some decorated and ornamented portions in the
later style of English architecture.
