COVE (NORTH), a parish in the hundred of WANGFORD, county of SUFFOLK, 2f miles (E. by S.) from Beccles, containing 219 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, with that of Willingham annexed, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £10, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Botolph. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. The navigable river Waveney passes on the north side of this parish.
