CRICK, a hamlet in the parish of CAERWENT, upper division of the hundred of CALDICOTT, county of MONMOUTH, 4 miles (S. W. by. W.) from Chepstow. The population is returned with the parish. The road leading from this village to Caerwent was evidently a Roman way, the foundations being plainly discernible; on each side lie large stones covered with moss, which appear to have formed part of the old causeway.
