CUDHAM, a parish in the hundred of RUXLEY, lathe of BUTTON at HONE, county of KENT, 7 miles (S. E. by S.) from Bromley, containing 683 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Rochester, rated in the king's books at £13. 2. 2., endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £ 200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul. A grant for a weekly market here was made by Henry III.
