CULCHETH, a township in the parish of WINIVICK,
hundred of WEST-DERBY, county palatine of LANCASTER,
5 miles (E.) from Newton in Mackerfield, containing
2163 inhabitants. In 1727, Henry Johnson bequeathed
£612. 6. for educating and clothing children;
there are also two small bequests of £10 each, made in
1691 and 1702, for six children.
