CULWORTH, a parish in the hundred of KING'S-SUTTON, county of NORTHAMPTON, 7 miles (N. E.) from-Banbmy, containing 581 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £10, and in the patronage of Mrs. Grace Greenwood. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. A school-house was built by Mrs. Danvers, and in 1795 was endowed with an annuity of £ 65 by Martha and Frances Rich; from seventy to eighty children are instructed -gratuitously.
