CUXHAM, a pariah in the hundred of VOW
county of OXFORD, 5 miles (S. S. W.) from Vtaworth,
containing 182 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford, rated in the
king's books at &Q. 10. 5., and in the patronage of the
Warden and Fellows of Merton College, Oxford. The
church is dedicated to the Holy Rood.
