DAMERHAM (SOUTH), a parish in the southern division of the hundred of DAMERHAM, county of WILTS, 4 miles (N.B. by B.) from Cranbourn, containing 605 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage with the curacy of Martin, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at £25. 10. 2., and in the patronage of the Duke of Newcastle. The church is dedicated to St. George.
