The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese of Bath and Wells, rated in the king's books at £46. 5. Mrs. Leir and another were patrons in 1812. The church is dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene. The old Roman fosse-way bounds the parish on the northwest.
