DONHEAD (ST-MARY), a parish in the hundred of DUNWORTH, county of WILTS, 5 miles (S.) from Hindon, containing, with the chapelry of Charltou, and the tythings of Dognell and Haystone, 1361 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at £30. 14. 4., and in the patronage of the Warden and Fellows of New College, Oxford.
