DONINGTON-upon-BAIN, a parish in the northern
division of the wapentake of GARTREE, parts of
LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 6 miles (S.W. by W.)
from Louth, containing 269 inhabitants. The living is
a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese
of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £15. 12. 2.
Lord Monson was patron in 1797. The church is dedicated
to St. Andrew.
