DORRINGTON, a parish in the wapentake of FLAXWELL, parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 4 miles (N.) from Sleaford, containing 284 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £6.3. 9, and endowed with £200 royal bounty. Sir G. Heathcote, Bart, was patron in 1823. The church is dedicated to St. James.
