DOWSBY, a parish in the wapentake of AVELAND,
parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 6 miles (N. by E.)
from Bourne, containing 201 inhabitants. The living is a
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated
in the king's books at £11.19.2. The Rev. T. Forster was
patron in 1807. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew.
