county of NORTHAMPTON, 6 miles (W. byN.)
from Wandsford, containing 352 inhabitants. The
living is a -perpetual curacy annexed to the vicarage of
Gretton, in the peculiar jurisdiction and patronage of
the Prebendary of Gretton in the Cathedral Church of
Lincoln- The church is dedicated to St. Mary. There
is a place of worship for Independents. Here is a free
school for twelve poor children, endowed with £ 10 per
annum under the will of Mr. Jackson.
