DUMMER, a parish in the hundred of BERMONDSPIT, Basingstoke division of the county of SOUTHAMPTON, 5 miles (8.W.) from Basingstoke, containing 393 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Winchester, rated in the king's books at £14. 12. 3. Thomas Terry, Esq. was patron in 1826.
