DUNHOLM, a parish in the wapentake of LAWRESS,
parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 6 miles (N.N.E.)
from Lincoln, containing 220 inhabitants. The living is
a discharged vicarage, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the
Dean and Chapter of Lincoln, rated in the king's books
at £4. 6. 8., endowed with £200 royal bounty, and in
the patronage of the Bishop of Lincoln. The church is
dedicated to St. Chad. A bead court is held twice a year,
when ten shillings and a coat each are given to six
poor men.
