EASTON-BAVENTS, a parish in the hundred of BLYTHING, county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles (N.N.E.) from Southwold, containing 24 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, annexed to that of Benacre, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £6, and endowed with £200 royal bounty. The church, which was dedicated to St. Nicholas, has fallen to ruin.
